HYPER is a mode in the BIT.TRIP series, first introduced in BIT.TRIP BEAT, along with NETHER and MEGA. In every level, HYPER is the default mode and gives a x1 multiplier. When in this mode, the sound effect for any successful action is a short, retro style beep.
HUD effects Edit
In BEAT, the HUD is mostly made of yellow. The score and multiplier made of different colors, such as orange, blue, and pink.
CORE's HYPER is similar to the one in BEAT, with yellow taking up most of the HUD. The score and multiplier's color's are similar to the colors used in BEAT for text.
VOID has a rather minimalist take on HYPER. Nothing at all really happens in the background during this mode; the word HYPER cannot be seen in the background.
RUNNER has Hyper in different colors, with the 3 levels. If you get hit, you will reset at the beginning, and start in Hyper again.
HYPER in IMPETUS is similar to the one in BEAT. Yellow makes up a good portion of the HUD. All other text is colored a cheerful orange.
In TENACITY, HYPER changes dramatically. Instead of the yellow/orange color scheme, both parts of the HUD are colored two different shades of a darker purple.
TRIUMPH's HYPER has a color scheme with pale colors. A pale yellow makes the out line and a pale blue makes the text.
Runner 2 Edit
The HUD does not change in Runner 2. The text that appears when getting HYPER is yellow, with a while outline.
The HUD here is a plain yellow all around, with a paddle shaped icon near the mode-up bar.
In FLUX, the HUD is a pinkish color, which is the negative color for yellow. Background text also follows this color scheme.
